Top 5 Wedding PLanning Tips
As a wedding photographer, I have had the pleasure of capturing some of the most treasured moments of my couples’ lives. I’ve seen first-hand the amount of time and effort that goes into making a wedding day picture-perfect. I have seen firsthand how stressed out brides can be while planning a wedding. So I’m here to help! Through my many years in the wedding industry, I have picked up some great tips so today I’m going to share my top 5 wedding planning tips!
1. Start Planning Early
One of the biggest mistakes brides and grooms make is not giving themselves enough time to plan their wedding. Ideally, you should start planning at least 6 to 12 months in advance. This will give you enough time to get everything organised and make sure you don’t forget any important details. This will also help lower your stress level, you don’t want to be rushed on so many important decisions!
2. Set a Budget
Before you start planning your wedding, decide how much money you want to spend and stick to it. This will help you stay on track financially and prevent you from overspending. This has to be the biggest stress when it comes to planing a wedding, so remember to be reasonable. Make a list of your non-negotiables and high-priority items. If delicious food is your priority, then you know you’ll spend more money there as opposed to on flowers or a DJ. Know which vendors you want to splurge on and which ones you’re open to going with the cheaper route for.
3. Book your Vendors Early
Once you have your wedding date set, you’ll need to start booking vendors for the big day. Make sure to research your vendors thoroughly and book them as soon as possible to get the best deals and ensure your dream wedding comes to life. 5. Have Fun
Last but not least, don’t forget to have fun! Planning a wedding can be stressful, so make sure to enjoy the process and have fun with it. This is such an exciting time in you and your partners life, make the most of every moment!
kind words
“Kendra is seriously the absolute best! She has done our engagement and wedding photos, she even did a boudoir shoot for a surprise for my husband on our wedding day and let me tell you she did NOT disappoint in any of those! She is personal and will answer all your questions and she will make you absolutely comfortable taking all the pictures! I highly recommend her business! Oh and did I mention she love to travel so getting her to go to another state is not an issue! I will definitely be booking family photos next!”
