Things You’ll Regret Not Doing on Your Wedding Day

After months, sometimes even years, of planning every little detail for your wedding, the last thing you want to experience afterwards is regret. It’s common for brides to look back on their wedding day and wonder, what if? So I’m here to give you a list of things you should do on your wedding day so you don’t end up wondering, what if?

Hiring a professional Photographer/videographer

Hire a professional photographer/videographer, I can’t stress this enough! I know it might seem like a good option to let your friend with the camera take photos but it’s not the same as a professional. A pro knows exactly what they are doing and they have invested in all the equipment needed to for every situation. Professional wedding photographers deliver quality images. You want your wedding photos to last a lifetime so quality matters. Also do an engagement session with your photographer, this way you’ll be able to see how well you connect with them and you can get more comfortable in front of a camera. Giving Your Photographer a Photo Checklist

Most photographers ask for a checklist of the photos you want taken on your wedding day. A lot of times couples get busy and forget to make the list. It’s not the worst thing in the world because professional photographers have a routine and a good idea of what shots to get. But filling out a shot list keeps you from looking through your wedding gallery and not seeing a specific photo you really wanted.

Eating Your Dinner and Dessert

You’re probably thinking, “What? Why wouldn’t I eat at my wedding.” Well it’s actually really common for the bride and groom not to eat. This happens because they’re so busy the whole day and then when the reception rolls around they get caught up talking to all the guests. So much time and money is spent choosing what foods to offer that it’s a shame if you don’t get to enjoy it! Make sure you sit down with your partner and eat the yummy food you picked out.

Take a Moment

Last but not least, take a moment with just the two of you. Just like how couples are so busy they forget to eat, they also forget to spend some alone time together. It’s your wedding day! Plan out some time in the schedule where you get a few moments alone with your partner to just be together. Just take a breather together and soak it all in.

I hope this list inspires you and keeps you from regretting not doing certain things on your wedding day. If you’re still in the wedding planning process and haven’t gotten your engagement photos taken yet, click here to learn about what to wear to your engagement session.

KIND WORDS

“Kendra is seriously the absolute best! She has done our engagement and wedding photos, she even did a boudoir shoot for a surprise for my husband on our wedding day and let me tell you she did NOT disappoint in any of those! She is personal and will answer all your questions and she will make you absolutely comfortable taking all the pictures! I highly recommend her business! Oh and did I mention she love to travel so getting her to go to another state is not an issue! I will definitely be booking family photos next!”
